Huy Nguyen Trieu, CEO of The Disruptive Group, has been appointed Fintech Fellow at the Centre for Global Finance and Technology.
The Centre for Global Finance and Technology at Imperial College Business School serves as a hub for multidisciplinary research, business education and global outreach aimed at greater understanding of the impact of technology on finance, business and society. This is a mission that is shared by The Disruptive Group, and Huy Nguyen Trieu’s involvement with the Centre is a natural extension of the first collaborations in teaching and educating about finance, technology and innovation.
The Centre is run by Professor Andrei Kirilenko, previously Finance Professor at MIT Sloan School of Management and Chief Economist of the CFTC. Commenting on the appointment, Professor Kirilenko said “I am really delighted to welcome Huy Nguyen Trieu as a Fintech Fellow with the Centre for Global Finance and Technology. The Centre serves as a hub for fundamental research on fintech. This research builds on the deep trends and developments in the Fintech industry, which Huy understands really well because he has run large groups in major banks, been a serial entrepreneur himself, and invested and mentored many startups. Huy’s unique insights and connections in the Fintech field will make a big difference to the efforts of the Centre going forward. I really look forward to working with him”.
